The village of Georgeham is situated just minutes drive away from the breathtaking coastline of North Devon. An area renound for its magnificent walking, surfing and miles of the white sandy beaches of Saunton, Puttsborough, Woolacombe and Croyde
There are cycle tracks, bridle paths, and not forgetting a good amount of excellent pubs, coffee stops and local shops to delve into.
Our village has a great pub (The Rock Inn), a little shop that sells everything from daily newspapers, wine and beer to food and toiletries and a beautiful old church with magnificent stained glass windows.
Our local pub is The Rock Inn, which is three hundred and twenty five paces away from our front door (according to the husband who should know as it is a well worn path for him)!, or depending on the length of your stride, about three minutes walk away.
Here you will be given a very welcoming experience by the owners Dan and Darren and their friendly staff.
Darren, the head chef, is renowned for his amazing cooking - you will not be dissapointed, whilst the staff are always friendly, chatty and polite (quite unique in this day and age).
The local beach of Putsborough has views to Lundy Island, and with approximately a two miles stretch of golden soft sand, you will need to try out Tony's beach cafe that boasts an extensive menu of daytime food and beverages.
The decked area of the coffee shop is enclosed in glass for those blustery days when you just want to sit back and enjoy the views with a lovely hot drink and bite to eat.
From here you have access to the cliff path that takes you around Baggy Point to Croyde, where you could indulge in more food and drink (if you have room) in the local shops of this village.
